I have worked with Canines all of my life. I have founded the first K9 school in Greece in 1977, The Kennel Club of Greece in 1984, The Shutzhund Club of Greece in 1992,and I have also been involved with Canine Search and Rescue in Europe. If there is any animal on this earth that needs to be recognized, not only in the United States, but World Wide, it is the DOG! I will do anything I can to support this effort!
AS a Veteran myself i think this is a wonderful idea. Thank you for this site.Name: KC Frantzen & May E-mail: may@maythek9spy.com HomePage: www.maythek9spy.com Country: USA Sent: 05/19/2010 01:44:37 pm
We are thrilled to discover this project and hope to help you promote it when appropriate. What a blessing to so many, as evidenced from previous comments. We are looking for input from anyone who can help us make our series as engaging and authentic as possible. Thanks for all you are doing for our 4 legged veterans! We hope to do you proud!!! Great site!!!! Our four legged partners need to be recognized!
ATTENTION! A brand new website has been launched for veterans and active duty service members to locate each other. The Armed Forces Locator website is a FREE service for veterans and active duty service members who have a desire to find old buddies. It is the first directory-based website on the Internet. When members from your old unit register you are automatically informed. It is a great service. Try it out today! Please pass this along to Sally. I'm a volunteer SAR dog handler with my second partner Scout, and a Viet Nam vet (Army). A couple of years ago our group was doing a demo at a country fair, and after the show we "worked" the fence and let the spectators meet and greet. A couple about my age was standing alone so I went over to them. The wife reached through the fence to pet my buddy and asked what his name was. I told her it was "Scout". A couple of seconds later I heard a sob from above and looked up to see the husband standing with tears streaming down his face. Through a broken voice he said, "A Scout dog saved my life in Viet Nam..." then he completely broke down. I grabbed his shoulder and thanked him for his service and said, "Welcome home." I just wanted to reaffirm to Sally that there are still grateful people alive in this country because of the efforts of GIs like her husband. This is wonderful! Military dogs have fought and died alongside their human soldiers and should be recognized. I fully support K9 Veterans Day!Name: Stephanie Ward E-mail: dennynsteph@aol.com HomePage: www.anotsolazranch.com City: Campo State/Province: CA Country: USA Sent: 03/05/2010 07:39:42 am

As a veteran (1989-1993) and a Police K-9 Officer of seventeen years, I fully support K-9 Veterans Day. I will pass your website to all my contacts in K-9 (police and military). These dogs deserve recognition for what they have done for our country and what they continue to do. Makes you very proud to have been part of an elite group we call Veterans!!! God bless the men, women, and K-9s of our military!
